About

I work with business owners at moments when judgement matters.

I’ve spent most of my adult life around small businesses—building them, running them, and helping owners navigate moments when things get complicated.

My work sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and human reality. I help owners think clearly when the answers aren’t obvious and the decisions carry real consequences.

How I Came to This Work

Before starting Sila, I spent more than a decade as a founder and operator, co-founding and leading Brooklyn Creative League. I raised and managed millions in financing, negotiated long-term leases, built operating systems, and guided the business through growth, stability, and disruption.

Earlier in my career, I worked in communications, policy research, and nonprofit leadership—experience that sharpened my ability to see systems, incentives, and unintended consequences.

How I Think About the Work

Business decisions happen inside real lives. Owners constantly balance growth and stability, opportunity and obligation, ambition and sustainability.

I describe my approach as counsel because it’s grounded in experience, analysis, and ethical restraint. My thinking is informed by a long-standing dharma practice, though what shows up for clients is clarity, honesty, and respect for complexity.

How I Work With Clients

I work with a small number of clients at a time, either in advisory engagements or ongoing coaching relationships. In both cases, the work is direct, practical, and collaborative.

Let’s Talk

If you’re navigating a decision that feels important—and not entirely clear—I’d be glad to have a conversation.
